Find out …

• Which new sector is poised to be the next “commodity boom”

• Which old-school commodity you are MASSIVELY over-exposed to (chances are, you don’t even realize that you’ve invested in this!)

• How you can balance your portfolio AND benefit from potentially huge moves in this new sector

It’s every investor’s ambition – to get in at the beginning of a big story, snapping up some “cheap” investment that turns out to be a goldmine.

At the time, other traders might wonder why you’d be interested in this low-value, unheard-of stock. But a few years down the line – they’d bite your hand off for a piece of the profits you’re enjoying.

Imagine if you’d bought 100 shares in Google when it went public in 2004 at $85. You’d have made $51,500.

Or if you’d bought 100 shares in Microsoft when they were offered up for $21 in March 1986. You’d now be sitting on a cool three quarters of a million dollars.

How is it that some people manage to catch these golden tickets?

Is it luck?

Skill?

Sure, there’s an element of luck in it – you have to be in the right place at the right time.

Skill? In truth, there’s probably not as much skill involved as long-term holders of Google or Microsoft shares would like you to believe.

Getting in at the bottom has a lot to do with being prepared to stick your neck out – being willing to make an investment in something you believe in, when there aren’t millions of other investors clambering after it.

(Let’s face it – if everyone was trying to buy it, you wouldn’t be able to snap it up so cheaply.)

And it’s precisely this kind of investment that I want to tell you about today.

Some seriously big names are waking up to this

The investment I’m talking about isn’t some unheard-of tech stock or dot-com company, who’s success depends largely on whether or not its CEO is up to scratch.

Governments, institutional investors, hedge funds and major corporations are all involved in this field.

And pressure is mounting on all of them to increase this involvement.

The growth of this market in the next couple of years could be meteoric.

I’m talking about Emissions Reductions, as outlined in the Kyoto Protocol. Commonly referred to as “carbon credits”.

There’s a lot of jargon banded about to do with carbon credits, but the crux of the matter is that one carbon credit offsets one tonne of carbon dioxide. So, as companies heat their offices … deliver their goods … etc … they are burning up carbon, and producing carbon dioxide. To offset every tonne they produce – they’ll need to purchase one carbon credit.

As environmental pressure mounts, we can expect to see more and more legislation from governments, forcing companies to buy these carbon credits. And when demand goes up – we can expect to see the value of these credits rise.

Unless someone comes along and disproves global warming, we are going to have to take responsibility for our carbon emissions in the years ahead. This market is still in its infancy – which is exactly why this is such an exciting opportunity.

Just the tonic for your investments

Now, I told you that this investment could also hold the key to creating a balanced portfolio. The general rule of thumb is that around 10% of a portfolio should be made up of “alternative investments”.

I also mentioned a commodity that you are seriously over-exposed to – we all are.

If you haven’t yet guessed what I’m talking about – it’s carbon.

You only have to look at the effect that oil prices have on the stock markets to know that just about every company out there is dependent on burning oil.

Because volumes are growing and so many new players (including governments) are poised to enter this market – carbon credits offer a degree of protection to these stock-market forces.

Plus, their carbon offset projects are focused on environmental initiatives, like solar and wind power. This isn’t just an investment for your portfolio – it’s an investment in the future.

Don’t get me wrong – I’ve not got any qualms about investing in banks or short-selling markets. But, it is good to know that some of my money is being used in projects that are genuinely working for other people (as well as me!)

How you can get exposure to this before it takes off

Now, the tricky thing with investing in a new market is working out the best way to “get in”.

Which is why I’ve been on the case of the team at VER Carbon Trading to negotiate the best entry prices for Trader’s Bulletin members on these products. Through this company, I’ve been able to secure a 5% discount on the cost of carbon credits for any Trader’s Bulletin member. (To qualify for this discount, please use the code at the foot of this email.)

I’ve also asked them to put together a special report for Trader’s Bulletin members.

You can download this report from the Trader’s Bulletin website. This is a very exciting opportunity, but there’s no reason to get carried away and rush into it without gathering all the facts. Which is exactly what I recommend you do.

You can download your full report by clicking on the link at the top of this page.

This explains just what the carbon market is … it names some of the big companies who are already buying up these credits … it outlines what kind of returns you can expect … and, very importantly, what the potential risks are.

I’m excited about the carbon credit market and what the future holds for it. And yes – I am prepared to stick my neck out on this one.

P.S. Just a quick word about the company supplying these credits … VER Carbon Trading use only UK FSA registered counter parties to execute any trades. All their credits are VCS registered (there are a few bodies out there who validate these carbon credits, and this is one of the big ones).

Please remember that they are also offering a discount to Trader’s Bulletin members of 5 per cent. To access this, you simply need to quote this code in any correspondence: VERTHAMES.
